O processo come\u00e7a com a prepara\u00e7\u00e3o da amostra, que pode ser realizada de diferentes maneiras, como na forma l\u00edquida, s\u00f3lida ou gasosa. Em seguida, a amostra \u00e9 posicionada em uma c\u00e9lula de medi\u00e7\u00e3o apropriada, que pode ser uma pastilha de KBr (brometo de pot\u00e1ssio), bem como uma placa de cristal, que permite a passagem da luz infravermelha.<\/p>\n<p>Depois que a amostra for preparada e posicionada na c\u00e9lula, ela \u00e9 exposta a um feixe de luz infravermelha, que abrange uma ampla gama de comprimentos de onda. A luz incidente interage com as mol\u00e9culas da amostra, causando absor\u00e7\u00e3o em frequ\u00eancias espec\u00edficas correspondentes \u00e0s vibra\u00e7\u00f5es moleculares.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dessa forma, a luz transmitida ou refletida pela amostra \u00e9 coletada pelo espectr\u00f4metro e passa pelo interfer\u00f4metro de Fourier. Esse dispositivo divide o feixe de luz em dois caminhos, um dos quais passa pela amostra e o outro n\u00e3o.
